Soccer and more

So, Connor had his first soccer practice last night, and to say it was an easy transition is pretty far fetched. Me being a former child soccer player thought it would and should be the coolest thing ever...I was wrong. Connor wanted nothing to do with his team, in fact, he actually asked if he could join the other team practicing on the same field. He thought it was cool when they had a race to see who could get to the ball the fastest, of course once he got there he threw himself on the ball like it was a football game. No hands, didn't go over that well to say the least. All in all it was comical. Colin had a blast, with Kent running all over the field after him in the 100 degree 5pm Texas weather. We were newbies at this and you could tell. Things to do differently; bring a chair, bring BIG HUGE water bottles, bring balls for Colin to play with, and don't expect a 4 year old to automatically know how to play soccer, it was not programmed into his DNA.

Colin has been a little talker this week, he thinks everything is funny and he has made an executive decision to not take crap from Connor anymore, and he has done it with a vengeance! The boy has a little temper, he looks like he is going to explode like a bomb and then just starts swinging...cute, but not acceptable. Everything else on the home front is good, keeping busy and working a lot, the boys are keeping us entertained in the evening and for me, at least, throughout the middle of the night...ughhh.

Till next time

Flight Museum

Today we ventured out to bring the boys to the Flight Museum. They had a blast, all Colin said was look, and wow the WHOLE time. Connor was absolutely amazed at the airplanes, the wings, propellers, and everything else there. After they ran around in ahhh..., we went to watch the planes take off and land, which they really got a kick out of. After working up a hunger it was of to the Original Pancake House for lunch, one of Kent's favorites. I really think he could eat breakfast there everyday all day. It was nice to get out and do something fun as a family, we have been so busy we forget the simple little things like family outings. Tonight Kent and I have plans to go to dinner together, which will be a nice break.
Above are some pictures, the one with Connor holding up his B-17 book is for his Great-Gran Pat, wish we were with you guys this weekend!
Till next time

Kid Challenged

So, this one will be short and sweet, but today is a kid challenged day. Oh My GOSH, talk about ganging up on mommy and testing the waters. Connor and Colin are mommy's challenge for the day you name it they have and are trying to get me today...it is actually a bit funny. Not listening, talking back, hitting, and the best one I ever heard, if you don't let me play a game, "Daddy's going to put you in time out", yea, I would like to see that one happen, hahaha.

They still are however the cutest little boys around, even if I am going to go insane in the process...love them to pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am officially a blogger, and a dork at that!

As you all know I have a sort of infatuation with my boys and what better way to keep everyone up to date then to have a Freeman Family blog. We will see how this works out, but if anything it will be comical.

We have been very busy lately, as I have been traveling pretty much weekly, of course Kent is so good with the boys they haven't had any issues. Friday I came home from a 3 day trip and low and behold Connor was sick. Since everything that went on in Nov I am a bit of a worry wart so I brought him to the doctor. He had a double whammy strep and some sort of virus...Yippee. So our weekend was comprised of being confined to our house...man did we go stir crazy. Things kind of got back to normal, when Colin got sick! I know I should have expected it but sometimes things are just a bit comical in our life, it is always one thing after another.

Besides that, Connor starts his 2nd year of preschool next week, and soccer the following week. Colin is still our little bubba and keeps us laughing. To that I will say good bye until next time.
